Pavement Paint

May 31, 2012 § Leave a comment

We made pavement paint (sidewalk paint) on Monday. It was so easy! I can’t believe I’ve not done it before. We had about an hour and a half before Messy Boy was due to go to school, so we made up the paints and took them outside. Boy had a BLAST. He loved them! We painted the bench at the end of the day to use up the rest of the paints, but I ended up having to send Messy Dad out for more cornflour so I could make more paint to finish the bench!

Pavement Paint Recipe

Per colour you will need:
4 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
2 tbsp water
about 6-8 drops food colouring

Mix it all up, take it outside with brushes, and get painting! As it’s just flour and water it will wash away really easily ready for your next outdoor painting session.
